This is mostly to have a page where the Keychron keyboard model numbers can be very quickly found with a straight text search, no matter the notation, for example, “V6C3” vs. “V6-C3”.<\/p>\n

Encoding<\/h2>\n

The model number’s second-last position (only K8 so far): The first two, “Version” and “Switch Type” are combined into a single letter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Q is for non-hot-swappable switches. V is for hot-swappable switches (without an aluminium frame). W is for hot-swappable switches (with an aluminium frame). T is for optical switches.<\/p>\n

The model number’s last position: 1 is for linear switches. 2 is for clicky switches. 3 is for tactile switches.<\/p>\n

The list<\/h2>\n

Note that it is very far from complete. It is driven by whatever comes up at, for example, Reddit<\/a>. Though some kind of automation \/ scraping in the future, at least of the model numbers, may make it more complete.<\/p>\n
