Very often RSS readers resist revealing the feed URLs once entered. That was the case for Firefox (the RSS reader was removed) and is also the case for Thunderbird (which has a decent feed reader).<\/p>\n

How-to<\/h2>\n

It is very far from being intuitive (for example, when I wrote this I had to struggle for 10 minutes, even though I knew it was possible). The trick is to know to expand an element in a list<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is by:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Click on “Podcast, blogs, and news feed”<\/em> on the left<\/li>\n
  2. Click on Manage subscriptions<\/em> on the right (top, under “Feeds”)<\/li>\n
  3. For the RSS feed you want the RSS URL for, expand by clicking on the little right-pointing arrow (to the left, of the RSS icon and feed headline).<\/li>\n
  4. Left-click on the expanded element (usually there is only one)<\/li>\n
  5. Copy the feed URL from the field “Feed URL”<\/em> (the second field)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Not intuitive<\/a><\/h2>\n

    It is not in context. E.g., right-clicking on the feed headline on the left and choosing Properties<\/em> will not lead to anything. Subscribe<\/em> will get you to the same as Manage subscriptions<\/em>, but the name suggests it can only be used for adding a new feed.<\/p>\n

    Bonus: RSS feeds for WordPress blogs<\/h2>\n

    Append “feed” to the base blog URL. For example, for this blog:<\/p>\n

    https:\/\/pmortensen.eu\/world2\/feed<\/a><\/p>\n

    It may also be at the bottom of each page (the RSS icon<\/a>).<\/p>\n
