Only the (very limited) colour options are stored on the keyboard.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \n\nIt being tightly coupled to Windows. Macros only works if the Corsair software is installed.\n\nThey don't tell you anywhere of course.\n\nPurchasing decisions.\n\nThe keyboard\n\n--><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"More_Corsair_lies\">Other lies<\/h2>\n<p>OK, technically not lies, but photos of the keyboard in marketing material and 16 million colours sort of imply the colours can be set individually. But that is only true for <strong><em>groups of keys<\/em><\/strong>. They are very limited:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WASG<\/li>\n<li>QWERDF<\/li>\n<li>G keys<\/li>\n<li>Numeric keypad<\/li>\n<li>Arrow keys<\/li>\n<li>1-6 (in the row above QWERTY)<\/li>\n<li>All keys (this can be used to set a <strong><em>default<\/em><\/strong> key colour: This will be the colour, unless overridden by some of the above groups, on one or more extra layers. See below for details)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Colours<\/h3>\n<p>To not get blackened out keys, first set the first layer to &#8220;All&#8221; and select a colour. Then add one or more layers.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Outright_Corsair_lies\">Outright lies<\/h2>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.com\/OpenRGBDevelopers\/OpenRGB-Wiki\/-\/blob\/stable\/History-of-OpenRGB.md\">other news<\/a> (9-bit colour instead of 24-bit colour),<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;&#8230;a big controversy around the color depth of the K70 RGB.
